Situated within the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park, Wentworth Falls Lookout is the largest waterfall in the region, featuring two drops. The waterfall is near several aboriginal sites estimated at being around 20,000 years old. A lake formed by the cascading waterfall is a popular picnic spot, located just a short walk from the nearby village. You can swim or join the Darwin's Walk tour, named after Charles Darwin, who visited and researched the area. Be prepared for a lot of steps on the various walks offered, which can take you to the waterfall or to the nearby viewing platform. These steep trails are meant for all fitness levels, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
