Bally Hooley Rail Tours offers a ride on a historic steam or diesel train taking passengers on a scenic ride through Port Douglas. The trains are hauled by a team of historic coal-fired or diesel-powered locomotives built in the early 1950s for cane hauling. The Choo Choo Explorer is also a part of the family. This jet-powered vessel cruises the Dickson Inlet and provides a wonderful opportunity for guests to spot our local wildlife - like our resident crocs! You can also incorporate a waterfront dining experience with lunch at Choo Choos at the Marina.Add Bally Hooley to your Port Douglas travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Port Douglas vacation maker site.

The captain was fantastic in comentating about the area. Allowing the boat to stop and observe birds I've never seen in the mangoes. Would highly recommend this trip
Awesome day staff are lovely very inclusive They even asked us to help turn the train on the turntable and for me as a train lover gave me a chance to get a good view and interact with the train. The whole system is very organised you don't have to book ahead. I stongly recommend this to everyone
