The flying doctor service has provided 24-hour emergency medical assistance for over 80 years to those who live, work, and travel throughout Australia. Today, the service provides care to more than 275,000 Australians each year. You can visit the original working base of the service, in operation since 1939. This is a non-profit organization, with all of its earnings made from tours, purchases made at the on-site cafe, and online store. All proceeds go toward medical equipment.
