Walk from the Adelaide city center to discover the urban oasis that is the Adelaide Botanic Garden. Once here, visit the Palm House, a Victorian glasshouse containing Malagasy arid plant life. Enter the fragrant National Rose Trial Garden to see the different rose varieties that can grow in the local climate. Stand in the curvilinear-glass Bicentennial Conservatory and observe a delicate ecosystem including noisy pittas birds, spiders, and centipedes. Make sure you also stop by First Creek Wetland, a relatively recent addition, where you can learn about the importance of wetlands to urban environments. • A lot of fun even in the heat. Wonderful Adelaide treasure!! The economic botany museum was excellent and relies on volunteers and donations. After you visit the museum you will want to make a donation too. Easy to get to by taking the tram. Enjoy!!
  • Wonderful place! Huge trees have enough shade and benches are installed under the shade properly. There are not many birds and lizards and feel safe wherever. Scent from green grass and hidden plants is unforgettable. Portable mat or chairs would be more comfortable if you would like to enjoy the green grass and the shade. Under the shade you can feel more cool chilling wind and aroma in the wind. And also there is a small cafe. If you forgot something to drink you can have it in the garden. The cafe also has out door seats and located near toilet. It is good place you could be charged with new energy.
